"Had dinner on Mother's Day 2017. I have been to this restaurant a couple of times. Food usually good. Service usually good. Not sure what happened on Mothers Day, the service was terrible. The restaurant was not very busy, not full. We ordered food, drinks. It was 15 minutes to get our drinks, 20 minutes to get started which was veg spring rolls. three table around us were the patrons came in after us were served their food before us. We didn't order complicated dishes. I asked the server about our order, she said it was coming, I then got my food which was three dishes , however did not get them at the same time so by the time I received everything the first dish was cold. I asked again about our order and was told "Its coming" My mother's food didn't come until 10 minutes after I finally got all that I ordered, the server was rude and dismissive. After we finished our meal, I asked to get some take away containers, but never received them. in the end I had to go to the bar and ask for containers and then back up to the bar to ask for my bill. Needless to say no tip. There was a gentlemen going around to tables asking patrons if they were there for Mothers Day, he never came to our table. Very poor effort"

"Asian Legend is a chain restaurant in Toronto. This 505 Hwy 7 place is one of the best and busiest restaurants located in the Commerce Gate Shopping Center near Richmond Hill, ON. There is free underground parking since there are only limited parking spaces on site. This restaurant serves authentic Chinese food including northern, southern style cuisines. Their Sichuan Camphor flavor smoked duck is one of the must have specialty to try. They also carry microwaveable ready meal that you can order online. Services is so-so in the restaurant due to their busyness."

"So far, I haven't had a bad meal there. Yes it is located in an odd place but it works for them. The wok they use must be on overdrive as it gives good intense flavour.....good wok hay. Congee is excellent and smooth. Lo Bak Go aka fried turnip cake is yummy.Beats cooking at home!"

"Tried a few Chinese dishes. The pineapple lemon chicken was decent. The human beef was okay but wasn't spicy at all. Both of these dishes came in containers that were more than half filled with rice even though that's not stated on the menu. An order of szechuan Shanghai beef was fine but no spice. Chicken chow mein was tasty but nothing memorable. The eggrolls tasted more like samosas. On our previous visit we ordered from the Indian menu and that was probably a bit better than the Chinese menu. The serving sizes were fine though overstuffed with rice. It's too bad that Toronto has so few kosher Chinese options and of course, because of nouveau kashrut rules (rules that came into effect in the 1990s), you can't really get broccoli, cauliflower, or many other veggies. Overall, I'm not sure that this was as authentic tasting as Golden Chopstix but it is nice to have some variety in Toronto. On the Indian side, the Naans and other breads are very good so I"ll probably go back to the Indian next time. On the cost side for the 4 dishes described and 4 eggrolls, the bill was about $90. Food for 4 easily, maybe 5."

"The Stir Fried Lobster in Hong Kong Style was a great presentation of lobster done right. The lobster meat was firm and fresh and there were little fried fish, meat, chopped-up green and red peppers on the dish too. It was perfect to satisfy my craving for seafood and tasty meat. Delicious! It was a good portion for two people."
