"Once again Toscano did not disappoint. This is our go to Italian restaurant that has delicious authentic Italian food. We have tried everything from the pasta dishes, seafood dishes, various salads. John/owner/chef focuses on using fresh vegetables and fruits that are locally sourced and in season. Some of our favorite dishes include the calamari appetizer done in a broth, the gnocchi Bolognese, many pasta dishes, the fish dishes, and the fresh salads The restaurant reminds us of a little quaint restaurant in Italy. My husband says the biscotti is the best he's ever had (and we've been to Italy multiple times and have eaten at the finest restaurants around the world). I like the Italian cookies which are soft with sprinkles. This week he made homemade plum gelato that was a perfect combination of sweet and sour very unique. This restaurant was our go to place during Covid and is a hidden gem in our backyard. We are lucky to have it. Look at his weekly specials onlune. You must try!!"

"An absolute must stop if you're visiting Santa Monica. I'm here for work from Seattle and was recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Not very big but didn't need to be. It smelled amazing the second I walked in. The Carbonara was the creamiest and most amazing I've had, and served to me directly to plate from pan and in quick order. Staff is pleasant as well. Maybe it's a good thing I don't live here because I would gain a ton of weight!"

"The food was great. We tried the lamb ragu and the cacio e pepe. Both were delicious and the portions were very generous. The lamb in the ragu was tender and flavourful. We also ordered the calamari as a starter. The seasoning and the breading was great. It went really well with the dipping sauce. Only complaint is that the calamari itself was a bit chewy. The only complaint I have is the seating. As a party of 2, we were only offered counter or bar seating when making reservations. It made for a bit of an awkward dinner as there was not much space to sit comfortably or properly enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant."

"Besides the beautiful furnishings, my wife, family and I find the dishes in La Caletta very delicious. In addition to the regular card, changing dishes are frequently offered, so last excellent lamb fillet. The service took care of us during all our visits, the waiting times were not too long even with good table occupancy. For the quality offered, I think the prices are reasonable. I cannot understand the comments on the lack of kindness. I also feel the current location significantly higher than in Oberreichbach, the terrace in summer has simply flair. If I write, it would be time to eat there again. In this sense, good start to the new year and so we always taste it with you!"
