"Not wanting to pay our inflated hotel prices for lunch, we decided to take a stroll to try and find a non-fast food, healthy, wholesome eatery. And we stumbled upon Paramount Fine Foods, middle Eastern cuisine. Having recently had weight loss surgery, I'm pretty limited with the quantity I can eat, so I placed an order for their appetiser of hummus, which comes with freshly baked pitta bread. My companions chose a sample platter of hummus, tabbouleh, and aubergine hummus, another had lentils with brown rice and caramelised onions, with a side serving of two falafels, then the last had a wrap with a side serving of tabbouleh. All of these courses were appetisers and they were going to see how full they felt before ordering a dessert. Even with appetiser sized dishes, we weren't able to finish them, but it was great to all try a bit of each others. Hands down the best hummus and falafels I've ever eaten - totally moreish and delicious.We were able to sit outside on a beautiful sunny day, with the noise of the fountain splashing nearby, and the waterfalls roaring in the background, all combined to make a casual lunch all the more enjoyable.Our waitress was very helpful and patient (take three French women, one with a British accent, one still heavily French, and the other with an American twang and there's always a recipe for confusion and misunderstandings). There was a mistake in our drinks order, the glasses looked as if they could have been cleaned better, and I I did note that some tables weren't cleaned up for a considerable time after the patrons had left. If they could nail the service, this would be a hard to beat healthy eating choice in the Niagara Falls area. Great value for money."
