"I wish I didnt have to do this but Ive been eating here for a while. Usually good service and decent food.. I really only go for the Banana Pudding thats catered there… Yesterday I found a nail in my cabbage, as I took a spoonful of it… complete and utter disgust immediately after i spit it out… I went back to the store to show them, and to ask for my money back. Now in that moment , I wasn’t trying to make a scene because they had customers actively coming in. I pulled the lady to the side that does the register and explained to her what I found. She immediately laughed in my face and denied it. The cooks from the back came out ina very hostile way and told me no one wears nails there. Now granted , WHOEVER WASHED THE CABBAGE that weekend or week easily couldve lost a disgusting nail, and its the same color as the cabbage!!! No refund was offered not even a partial one, they were sooooo rude to me!! Even AFTER I tried to not a make a scene."

"I went in for the mild beef patty and thought the lunch deal $4.99) was something I couldn't pass up. I thought the long line was a sign of loyal customers so I decided to wait. I enjoyed the beef patty, but the cabbage and plantains need some kind of seasoning or salt. The cabbage was hard and crunchy. The plantains were not ripe and firm. I was expecting both to be soft. The fried chicken was good, but I don't think I'll be willing to wait in a line again just for a beef patty. Soda was delicious as expected."

"Not only do they fill the plate it taste fresh! I say that because usually some places would have dry rice and peas and also would give you a corner slot of your meat choice and gravy and then fill the bottom with rice. Not a loving considerate serving like this! You certainly get what you pay for. Of course it tastes delicious!"

"This place feel off real bad! This use to be the place to be but things have changed, makes me wonder if they are under new management. I use to brag about this place and encourage any and everyone to go here. The portion sizes have decreased tremendously. The use to give you your moneys worth. Now, they increase the price and put maybe 4 oxtails at best on the plate for $31."

"It brings me sadness to have to give a poor rating of the food because the cashier was so friendly and kind. However, this was my first visit and when I got the food home it smelled and tasted burnt. I ordered the oxtails meal, which came with a heaping mound of mushy rice and peas, 4 boney pieces of oxtail and a side of raw cabbage salad. It was horrible and I tossed the entire meal out."
