"Had a reservation for 8 last Sunday for a birthday lunch. The Olive Branch is a lovely pub, warm and inviting and the staff are attentive and friendly. Most of us decided to go for the Sunday Roast. Unfortunately,we had not seen the size of these before we ordered starters and mains and I think only 1 person managed to eat everything. The portion sizes are big!! That is not a complaint but a compliment, we just struggled when we got to the desserts lol!! All in all the food was lovely. The main courses could've been a little hotter, they were not stone cold just not piping hot but the pub was busy so it's to be expected. We all went away happy and overfed!"

"The food itself was good, normal selection of sandwiches, the scones were quite hard but tasted ok and the cakes were good however the service was a real disappointment. We were seated on arrival and the tea order was taken fairly quickly however minutes later our food still hadn’t arrived, we had managed to drink a whole pot of tea in that time. We had to ask where our food was and even then it took mins to come out. They did not really check things were ok very regularly. We waited ages after we had finished and had to ask for the bill. We also asked if our leftovers could be boxed up, they returned to us completely mushed up in baking paper and no box. Then we were ignored again and had to ask to pay for the bill. Then the card machine did not work but this was not explained properly to the person who had put her card in as no receipt was given. There just didn’t seem to be any staff around that could help or be spoken to. I would not recommend coming here."

"I love this place so so much! The interior has been so well thought out, the conservatory is stunning and so is the main restaurant. The chairs feel ‘deluxe’ to sit on, I absolutely can’t fault a thing here. It’s my favourite local restaurant. My friend and I had the steak ciabatta. WOW. This was insanely good and full of so much flavour! My mouth is watering now..! Thank you for a lovely dining experience! I can’t wait to visit again!"

"Everything was fantastic, me and my partner went out for a Birthday meal. We were served by Elena and she made everything perfect from start to finish! The food was fantastic and the service was also fantastic. Although one small thing that irked me was that one of the staff was walking around with an air-pod in. Felt a little awkward to see, I'm sure the music that he was listing to was great but not sure it is needed in a customer facing job. (Regardless) The food was perfectly cooked, we both felt like we were valued. Elena asked us if we were at the restaurant for anything special. After we told her it was for a Birthday she let the chefs know and they took the time to write Happy Birthday on our Dessert. Little touches like this are what made it so great. Taking the time to ask us why we were there was really lovely. Thank you Elena and the Chefs for a fantastic 30th Birthday Meal! We won’t forget it."
