"We had an absolutely amazing time celebrating my husband's 40th birthday with dinner and a surprise whisky tasting at the Fisherman's. It has always had a special place in our hearts after getting married there 8 years ago and the food quality is still as good as ever. We had a gorgeous meal (top quality steals and the Bailey's cheesecake is one of my all time favourite desserts! and the service was exceptional as always. However it was the personal touches and service by the staff which really made the evening special. Big thanks in particular to Garry, who secretly worked with some friends of ours to organise a whisky tasting for after dinner which was a fantastic surprise. He clearly had so much enthusiasm for helping them choose the best whiskies for a special birthday celebration. Also one of the bar staff went above and beyond and gave us a lift back to our nearby accomodation as it was pouring down outside. It's little touches like that which make the Fisherman's so wonderful and we hope to have many more celebrations there in years to come"
