"The women (sisters? who run this place are angels. I dropped in once to grab breakfast (a delicious homemade quiche and the most fabulous french toast , not knowing this was the home of Ontario's best buttertarts. I grabbed a few on my way out since my family loves them, and now I've had to return several times for more. Always fantastic customer service, always a great selection of tarts. If you're in the area you'd be missing out if you didn't pop in."

"This place has outdoor dining with a selection of starters, gluten free and vegetarian options. For a special celebration (close to highway 404-Davis Drive exit), we reserved tables at Fionn MacCool’s outdoor patio. It has a nice covered area that provides shelter for half of the patio; the other half had 6-8 umbrella tables. Luckily, I requested and got 2 tables squeezed together under the open roof, because it unexpectedly started pouring rain! The indoor dining area by the washrooms would have been good for families with kids, but the sofas with tables outdoors are great for summer and fall (with outdoor heaters). Fionn MacCool’s isn’t very visible from Leslie Street, but just look for the KFC and Starbucks that it faces. I recommend the Power rice bowl and crispy cauliflower; Fionn MacCool’s famous Cobb salad isn’t as enormous and filling as before, although anything Indian will always be good. Kids might like the mashed Shepherds Pie. If seating isn’t available, you could always pick up takeout giros, drinks and baklava dessert a few doors down at Yummi Souvlaki. Main Street South and Fairy Lake (Newmarket) is nearby if people-watching is your fave pastime after eating. Just don’t forget to tip the friendly staff!"

"A diverse menu with lots of choices for all. The new owners have taken over a good formula and expanded the menu for the better. The service is also excellent and very attentive with the new owner making every effort to make us feel valued. Even though my kids were not there yesterday, he gave me 2 brownies to give to the kids after my daughter had loudly exclaimed that the brownie she had 2 weeks ago was 'the best brownie ever '."
