"This restaurant was recommended by our Hotel and the reviews on Tripadvisor looked positive so we assumed it would be a safe bet. However the food was terrible and most went uneaten. The assiete de l'Epiderie was meant to be a selection of meats,cheese bruschetta etc but actually consisted of a huge pile of undressed salad topped with what looked like left over food and table scraps. Raw mushroom featured heavily and was scattered all over it. The beef carpaccio was equally bad and the meat was submerged under a lake of oily pesto, to the point where you couldn't taste the meat. The clientele were almost all tourists and I guess locals know to avoid this place."

"The desk clerk at our hotel recommended this place. We expected it to be pricey because of it's incredible location with a view of the Pope's Palace. We expected it to be a tourist trap with average food because it is in a touristy area. We were completely wrong. Prices were reasonable and the food and service were excellent. The servers spoke english perfectly. We enjoyed an outstanding bottle of Chateauneuf-du-pape BLANC (white wine)... none of us knew that Chateauneuf du page even made white wine! The escargot was outstanding."
