"Being one of our local restaurants this is a reliable Friday night hang out for us. The staff are attentive and I really enjoy the Italian ambience they create but most of all the food is consistently good and the regularly offer a few new items to keep things fresh. Great having this restaurant in the nighbourhood"

"This is a cosy club that is great if you are a member as it has lots of special deals for members for meals and drinks. Membership is only $11 and you would save that on your first dining experience at Windy Hill. The food has always been good and the service is quite quick . Good place to catch up with friends."

"It's a past, since Essendon football club has played her last Australian football league game, but Essendon and windy hill is still synonymous. the floor is still used, but not by the bombers. many fans still cheat the fact that all Melbourne...AFL games are played on only two city stages, and that all suburban places were placed next to each other. the days of a packed house in windy hill, with the red and black poor roaring as their team destroys the opposition are no longer. they can still see the floor many interstate fans still see a kick from windy hill."

"A weekday lunch came by The Jolly Miller Cafe in Essendon. Now I realise this is one of a few of the same name. My companion and I enjoyed the bruschetta of grilled vegetables ($19.90), wagyu beef burger ($18.90) and 'something minty' freshly squeezed juice ($6.90). Lunch menu has all items around the same price point. Perhaps there were other selections from fridge inside, I'm not sure. All meals and the drink were really good. We enjoyed the sunshine outside and there was a plentiful amount of seating. Whilst on a footpath there are some tables that are away from the walking pedestrians which makes for it being a bit more comfortable I think. Parking in front on surrounding streets are timed parking bays. Service did not hit the mark though. Once seated we were given menus, and promise of return with bottle of water. We received the glasses, but there was an unusual wait for that bottle of water. I noticed that when other dining patrons left, the wait staff only partially cleared those tables. Although the wait staff were friendly."
