"Stopped over for lunch before catching the train to Paris. The place was packed with dinners and we were lucky to find a table. We could see why it was so popular the food was well priced and super tasty. Highly recommended"

"Superbe découverte en plein cœur de Nantes.Vous rentrez dans ce restaurant cosy aux murs de pierres et vous retrouvez dans une salle avec quelques tables. L'accueil (et les cuisines) sont au 1er étage.Dans une ambiance feutrée, vous dégusterez des plats avec des produits frais de la région mélangés aux saveurs de l’Asie.En plat, nous avons pris le pavé de Rumsteack (France) et ses frites maison, savoureux..., je m'en délecte encore les papilles.En dessert, que dire de la verrine de fruits rouges et son biscuit Trocadéro, excellente et surtout du biscuit viennois aux mousses avocat/passion & fruits frais, un mélange de saveurs qui peut surprendre quand on le lit, mais quand on le déguste, un vrai régale.Et cela, vu la qualité de la cuisine, pour un prix tout à fait abordable.Je conseil vivement."

"We went here twice on a recent visit to Nantes purely chose it the first time by chance, and went back for the last meal of our stay. There are only tables outside, and it clearly does a lot of take out business as... Deliveroo cyclists turned up to take orders away constantly. The service was fine (maybe first time the waitress was new to the job, but second visit they were very good) and the food, if you like this kind of food, is really enjoyable. None of us can stand the poor excuses for chips we find so often in the UK pale, saggy and pretty unpalatable, whilst often sold as if top of the tree for the area. These frites were cooked in beef dripping (we think) and crisp and brown on the outside. You could have your burger cooked as you wanted and the other dish we had was the Thai chicken, which my wife and daughter both thoroughly enjoyed. There is a choice of fixed price menus which can really offer decent value for the area, although we opted not to take that option on the second visit. La Ripaille says it only uses fresh ingredients, not frozen, and I can believe it. The burger was far better than you would usually get in the UK, and I quite like my UK burgers!! Washed down with Badoit (again, personal taste, but my one of my favourite drinks and definitely favourite sparkling water) and a glass of Leffe, and I would happily go there again if in Nantes"

"The restaurant is very beautiful, it is pleasant to eat. However, the cook was wrong on my dish: my salmon came without fries and with sauce. So it forced me to wait long minutes while waiting for my dish. He was delicious! (but a little cold to my taste) . The waiter also made a mistake for my dessert: a chocolate mousse arrived instead of my chocolate ice cream. fortunately, more fear than bad, my order has arrived quickly and the chocolate mousse has been offered to me!! I note that the use of salt is very little instinctive. I thank the team and thank you for the little candy!!"
