"This place always puts a smile on my face. As a hotelier I value great hospitality and this place offers it in bucket loads. It seems to have gotten busier over the years and I can only blame myself for having let the cat out of the bag on TA. Nevertheless, in a country like Switzerland where decent hospitality is almost impossible to find, I am happy I shared it. Make sure you reserve a table or you might not get space. Despite coming back after 11 months, they still remembered me, welcomed us warmly and took excellent care of us. The food was again superb, the ambiance wonderful and the entire dining experience was a pleasure. As I don't do any snow sports, the only reason I go up to the mountains is for food and this place is my number 1 pick. For starters I had a wonderful bowl of soup, followed by foie gras and finally a Hirsch pfeffer (venison stew). Apart from the foie gras, which was average and served cold (they did warn me about it in advance), the rest of my meal was superb. My dining companions had a superb chicken schnitzel and a pork steak which was incredibly juicy and flavourful. This is one of my favorite places and continues to make me smile.
