"Have been coming here for 5 years food is good. However this last time we won’t be back. We come with a group of 5 an dined in upon getting our bill we was charged over 22 dollars for gratuity. Menus states groups of 6 or more are charged 20 percent. We had a group of 5. Upon paying we left because I was to aggravated to wait for our server who only been at the table 3 times during our whole 1.5 hour dinner. Wait for food was long. Just not the service I expected and the untrustworthy server who sloped that charge in. We paid 20 percent plus 3.5 percent of our bill additional the 3.5 is a fee to use debit or credit. Such a disappointment for us to have to cut ties with a business we love over a issue like this that shouldn’t have happened."

"This is definitely a good place for a hearty meat filled meal. I had the cheese kransky with the choice of two sides which was too much food for one. Also the Munich Brewers Platter for two should really be for 3-4 people (or just 2 super hungry people). I liked the platter because it sampled a variety of meats and sausages. Overall, the food was delicious but super filling."

"The Bavarian is a great spot with decent river city views, although I find I always drink way more than I planned too. The beer options are alright and they are very easy to drink in their big glass steins. On a typical Friday or Saturday night I find the place too busy from 6-9:30, although it thins out quite quickly after. The last time I was there I did try one of their burgers but got too drunk to remember if the food was any good."

"It 's always super busy here, food is decent!! My significant other is half German so hes very picky with his German food, apparently this was a tad too commercialized for him, didnt really feel all that 'authentic. ' Maybe hes just nit picking tho, I quite enjoyed myself!! Ordered the platter for 2, The scnitzle was really good however the pork belly was wayy too salty and the pork knuckle a tad (very) dry ,, sausages were good tho !!! So was the beer. Wouldnt mind coming once or twice again with other people."

"Booked through opentable with confirmation email and message, however we were denied by the restaurant saying that no booking found thus no seat available. That day was Mother’s Day and the experience made both me and my mother very disappointed."

"We have enjoyed Horizons for years and always make a point to gather how often we can. Eating is always delicious. My sister has a favorite dish that is no longer on the menu, but the cook is friendly enough to make it when asked. All employees are friendly and knowledgeable. I always recommend this restaurant to anyone who comes to Amelia for a quick weekend break or a week long family holiday!"
