I was in fredericksburg last Saturday, va and I really wanted to go, but I was just diagnosed with Celiac disease (for those of them who are not familiar with this disease, they can not eat anything that has gluten in it, what in just about everything they eat! do not weep, rogen or grief). At least I showed early to talk to the waitress to not disturb the group with my question and she was absolutely wonderful! she let me know that everything was freshly prepared and that everything I had to do was her what I wanted and she would talk to the cook and she could prepare it for me, but they needed to!...read more"

"My wife and I decided to try 3 Monkeys for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised. <br>

We noticed when we arrived that, being in our mid-forties, we were a couple decades older than every other patron in the place. The hostess told us there would be a short wait, so we decided to wait at the bar.<br>

My wife ordered a house cocktail, a Caribbean Monkey, that was quite tasty. I settled for a classic Old Fashioned that was, frankly, one of the best I've had at a bar. The bartenders know their art.<br>

All appetizers were advertised as $5, so we ordered several to sample them. The sausage-stuffed jalapeños were good, as were the braised beef tacos, and they were something different from the regular apps one sees at restaurants, but they weren't exceptional.<br>

I ordered a lamb sausage and shrimp penne dish that was also very good but not over the top good. My wife got another appetizer of Calamari. That was very, very exceptionally good.<br>

The waitress was cheerful, attentive and prompt. We never waited for drink orders to be filled, or plates to be cleared, it was all taken care of quickly.<br>
<br>
Overall, I was impressed. The prices were far more reasonable than I had anticipated, the service was great, and the food and drink was very good. It definitely caters to a younger crowd, and, if I had to mention a negative, it's that the noise level was pretty high, more like a bar than a restaurant. <br>

Overall, a very enjoyable experience."

"Nice place. I and my friends came here Monday after 10:30. The stuff was very welcome. Place looks neat. My friends like the food. My chicken sluice was delicious. Nice good tasting food for a place that doesn't look so pretentious from outside. Nice discovery."

"That was a great dive site. I had the Wels appetizer with spicy Mango Chutney, baby back ribs with grilled catfish and peanut buttercake. The only thing that was wrong with my meal was that the sweet tea was not sweet enough for me. It was also a perfect meal that complemented my background music by classic rock songs. This place was worth every penny I spent."
