"Le Comptoir du Malt in many ways resembles any other American ( or inspired by them ) chain restaurant, but the menu clearly shows that the concept is targetted a local audience in the north of France. Our food was OK - nothing special - however uplifted by some very good local beers. The service and ambience was as you'd expect from a family restaurant, and at least, a visit to this kind of establishment gives you a pretty good ( I think ) picture of the what the local population looks like. Besides, it is, as far as we could see, the only "real" restaurant in town, unless you count Buffalo Grill, McDonalds and Burger King as restaurants. I don't..."
