"Believe it or not, I was a regular at this restaurant more than 25 years ago, even before google review was a thing. The place was great back then and popular in my social circles. Fast forward to a few days ago, I once again set foot in New Haven, this time with my family in tow. I was eager to refresh my memory of the fork tender kalbi tang again. Not surprisingly, the couple running the place didn't look familiar to me it's highly likely the place has changed hand (even multiple times) since I graduated from Yale 24 years ago. I am sad to report that the experience was quite negative The banchan tasted stale; he kalbi tang had only 3 tiny pieces of bone in short rib; the rice in bibimbap was too moist. And the food was expensive for the portion and the quality we spent close to $100 (before tax/tip) for 3 entrees and 1 appetizer. My fond memory of Seoul is forever scarred. Sad."

"This place used to be a very decent place and we come to this place regularly. It seems that there is an ownership change at this place very recently and my recent two visits are very confusing and outrageous. I will just share my experience here. In the first visit, we ordered a Galbi with tofu soup. The food failed to come after an hour and the waiter gave food to at least three tables getting to this place after we ordered. During the wait, we asked several times about the food and the waiter said there are too many people in the restaurant and asked us to be patient. At the third or the fourth inquiry, he finally checked and said our order was dropped on the ground thus got ignored. The owner promised us that it would never happen again so we let it pass. The second visit is even more confusing. To prevent the unpleasant long wait we experienced for the last time, we decided to order pajun and a Jungol, the latter one needs no preparation just put everything into the pot and it would be ready. We got in the place at 7:10pm and ordered at around 7:20pm. The owner and waiter informed us that there is a large table Korean group) in front of us so the food might be a bit slow. We had no idea that this means 100 minutes ' wait. We asked for at least four times about the food, and the answers were the food preparation is complicated. Finally, after 80 mins wait, we asked the owner how much longer do we need to wait for the Jungol, the hot pot one which needs no preparation, and the answer is 25 30 minutes. So we decided to leave for another place as it is already 8:40pm. Seeing us leaving, the waiter said it would be ready in 5 mins. after 1 mins, the stove for the pot was put on our table. After another 3 mins, the pot was taken to the table i will attach the picture of the pot. in my opinion, it is just putting everything inside, needs no more than 1 mins time for preparation) The Pajun came after another 15 mins. We find it very hard to interpret this behavior as merely a coincidence. And I do not think we are the only one has this experience, as during our wait, the following happened to the table besides us the customer ordered something related to tuna, and after waiting for about 25 minutes, the owner came back to confirm with the word it is tuna right? then after another 20 minutes, the owner came back to apologize that there is no tuna. In short, I agree with another reviewer that unfortunately there is something, probably racial things, going on at this place. For the potential consumers, before you go there, you need to know that there is a possibility that your order will not be paid any attention after 1 hour 's wait and 4 5 times ' inquiries. And this probability is significant when there is a Korean group presented in the restaurant."
