"The restaurant has been there for some time but did not draw my attention as their name created confusion - Korean restaurant selling Northern Chinese food. However, referred by a friend of mine, I went there twice. My first visit was on a Friday evening to try their Peking Duck. You need to tell them in advance if you want Peking duck. Like all other Korean restaurants, they offered small Korean dishes free. We ordered a Peking duck set dinner for 4 for below $60. Said to cook with wood logs, the Peking duck was excellent to our complete satisfaction. The smell and meat texture were absolutely one of the best in town. We learned from them that the Korean chef has lived in Beijing for several years to learn the technique. The set also offered other dishes (you can choose) to include fried Korean noodle as well as northern Chinese noodle in hot pot with duck skeleton soup base. I intended to recommend 4 stars (or even 5) to Tripadvisor members but needed the feedback as their name was not on the list. My friend also told me that their Pork Bone soup and Ginseng Chicken soup were also tasty. Last Saturday, I went there again accompanying more people with an intention to order all 3 recommended . But for unknown reason, we were totally disappointed when the duck was presented. Instead of slicing the duck in front of us like last time, it came on a plate/bowl and there were no taste and poor meat texture; thus forcing us to stop ordering other 2 dishes. So, I can only give them a score of 3 only at this stage. I definitely will go there again for the third time to verify my experience. With my 1st time excellent experience plus the high recommendation from my trusted friend, I am sure it will not be bad."

"This place is really unique. It was my first time here. I really enjoyed the Fried Rice. The best I have ever had. Even got to drink my first Korean drink. The staff was nice and friendly. I will definitely be returning with more friends!!"

"My wife and I are frequent customer. They Bim-Bim-Ba (stone bowl rice) is our favourite pick. Their side-dishes (potatoe) is one of the best in the region. Must try if passing by."

"Arrived at 14:25 for a late lunch. Reading extensive menu on window outside sounded very nice so went inside. Seated very quickly and had a wonderful gentleman serve us who could not do enough for us. Was very helpful in explaining what some items were and described the food portions. We had Mushroom Tofu soup $9.99, Goyza (8pc) $6.99, Yukgae Jang $9.99 & a ginger ale $2.46. Total bill $30.93 for two, tax was 5%. This was a delightful experience with very tasy food. I would go here again."

"My friend took us to this restaurant. We had the bok chop, glass noodles and steamed dumplings. All the food was tasty and the waiter was friendly. There was lots so we asked for containers to take it home. Would certainly here again."

"Biz travel usually means dinner at the hotel or out to the bars with a people from the office. You can only do that so many times before your digestive tract revolts as you have been abusing your gastronomic taste buds! Basically - I wanted...some real good food!!! Flipped the app and Haroo shows up under Korean places. Off I went to find the place. Man...once you get into this tight area of Richmond, it gets confusing as every building and unit is a restaurant. Even the upper floors! Talking about upper floor this place was there! With so many restaurants in the area, parking is a nightmare. I drove into the place and obviously, with no luck. There is a ramp up to the second floor and I gave it a try. I luckily got the last spot! And since the restaurant entrance is on the BONUS! Place is small, maybe about tables. It's run by a family Mum and Pops does the kitchen work and their son was serving. They don't get many Koreans at their restaurant so I was looked upon as an oddity! LOL! I ordered the spicy burgogi and overall it was A-OK. I found the meat tasty and the spices decent but the pool of grease building up on the hot plate to be excessive. The dish itself had unusual ingredients too. Besides the meat, onions, and vegetables they added rice cake and Bugles you know...the corn chips that look like horns! Whatever I washed it down with a Kokanee and all is good. Is it a repeat place? It seems that this is as good as it gets in Richmond for homestyle cooking. If I have the craving, I might try something different there. Cheers!"
