"Myself and three colleagues visited this restaurant for the fourth time to discuss a choice of wines for an upcoming wine dinner. I ordered the Barra, chips and salad. the portion size was similar to what I prepare for my 8 year old daughter, quality of the fish was good.The other gents had steak sandwiches.We opened 3 bottles of wine had one small glass of each, in the same glass, one after the other, and took the remainder home.We were sitting at one of the outside tables (highway side), the music was so loud it was impossible to talk, I went to the bar and asked if they would mind turning it down and they did......Some 10 mins later up it went again, I asked again and was told to "relax"!!Eventually the staff realised they could turn it off to the outside area and so they did.We were slugged $23.70 corkage upon paying our bill!!Will be our last visit."

"We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food here and I understand that their midweek food $20 specials are really popular. The servings were on the small side but the prices (apart from the steaks) weren't exorbitant.The crispy skin barramundi was lovely but it was a small portion and accompanied by only a salad left us feeling hungry. Everyone enjoyed what they had but you may need to order something on the side to fit you up."

"I only had a flat white but it was food. The hot chocolate looked spectacular! Nice outdoors terrace. Really busy but didn't feel crowded or suffocating. I'd go back if I find myself in Applecross again. Has gluten free options."

"Nice as, tiny and very welcoming, penny’s cafe is a beautiful little cafe amidst shops in applecross. I am a little jealous of those who work close to it, as it is the perfect place to dip for a weekday dinner or brunch. Today I visited with my nanna for a quick bite to eat and we felt very home. the interiors are breathtaking. very modern and crisp. love the coffee-inspired art on the wall and the pendulum lights look beautifully over the cake display and coffee counter. the menu is short and sweet, with daily specialties. I sat between the bacon egg sandwich on brioche yum) and the daily special, but decided to have the special that was a pork belly track mi $8.50. we also ordered...more"
