"Marinos' fish and chips are always good, and since last august, when the new owners took over, this is the best fish and chips I had everywhere and great jazz music while they wait for their food to be cooked. excellent!"

"It's a shame it's changed so much. Lots of very loud customers, food was OK, service very very slow. Sad times places change. We won't be returning sorry. Puddings wete good though! Especially the cheesecake"

"Do yourself a favour think twice before you eat there. I went with a friend. The chips tasted and looked like they had been cooked in oil earlier in the day and re heated in a microwave so they were soggy and tasteless and not a lot of effort put into presentation on the whole the food was substandard. The furniture wasn't the best. The chairs needed re padding and given a good clean. The female staff were polite and helpful. Probably the only positive thing about our visit to the café."

"Always a pleasure to lunch here. Haven't tried evening as it's not local for us at Sandwich, but it's more convenient than Tenterden to meet friends from Uckfield and Eastbourne. Staff very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Arrive early and enjoy coffee in armchairs around the blazing wood burner while perusing the excellent menu. Just wish we had more friends!"

"As a pilger, which was 15 km from my previous camping site, this guest house was an absolute goddess. we were greeted by the natives who sat on the afternoon and gazing the sun over the local grill field, they were friendly, smiling and were really curious to find out where we had gone. we urgently needed a camping site, as our next camp was still 2 hours to walk away and the afternoon moved to us, needed food and began to build the camp. the bar manager kindly offered us the use of their field in exchange for our customers. the field was a standard camping field with soft fresh. own gras (good nights sleep.) I ate in the restaurant area that was appropriately thawed where I would argue that eating in the did was sufficient, it certainly meet the place good old-fashioned full-fledged pub food."

"We were quite a large party having lunch to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday (10 adults). Lovely place. Amazing, friendly staff. Unfortunately we live in Northumberland so can't become regulars but if we're in the vicinity again, we'll definitely call in. A great experience with fabulous food (a wide choice). I recommend The Flying Horse. Our food bill minus drinks came to just over £200 so great value too. Thank you. X Food: 5"
