"They look, the staff are always friendly, but we go every Tuesday for trivia and after 2 years plus the menu needs a bit of a revamp. yes, they have blackboard specialties, but even this rich was very limited by late and no real...considering people who have diet writings. they have recently changed the menu, but some options removed and the price migrated upwards, I can understand the price increase by the thirs, etc., but at least they could have been one, but in view of the menu options have been an even more imaginative. I know several groups that have come to play trivia that have abandoned and gone as a result of the limited options on the menu board."

"We have been to East’s before and that was excellent. Last was very worth the drive from Lake Macquarie. We were seated and there service was very good. Waiter service of order and meal delivery. Only needing to get up for Bar service. 100% meal...satisfaction from everyone. A just for those that enjoy quality food. Bar are very friendly indeed."

"Utterly disgusted and disappointed. Every time im in the drive through, its a complete battle to get what you asked for. Ive had workers repeat my order several times, each time differently, in one sitting. Several times ive ordered say a large gravy and gotten a small, or something else in my order is wrong. Dealt with it and i stopped going. Last night, i was unwell, thought well, cant be that bad? Ill give them another shot. I ordered my food, i had it repeated to me several times differently (the usual).Paid and waited at the window for 20minutes. Normally theyre slow to serve, but 20mintues? Huge line behind me of customers just as confused as i am. But anyhow I get my order, keen to get home, i open my bag im missing some of my meal. I called up, they told me to come back, without checking the rest of the meal (as its in boxes) i went back. Lady apologized and what not, gave me two piece of chicken extra. Start putting things on plates. I have feathers on my chicken and i have half full chip containers.Should have checked those too before returning. But by this time its too late to go back, im tired and fustrated. What was suppose to be something easy, quick and help me relax has just blown up in my face, because of the incompetency of the East Maitland Henny Penny. I will not be returning."

"This restaurant is called dukes now, and together with its new name it has a new cook. previous reviews have been somewhat mixed, but with the latest comments cheaper, we decided to try it while on a short break in morpeth. the beautiful old building was simple, but beautifully presented with two dining areas, plus a few tables in the free. a free amuse beech was offered, two tiny delicious beet root and goat cheese teas. two courses for $60 was our choice, so starting with a bottle cold, zingy sauvignon blanc we eifrig awaits our meal. I had grilled with mayo and cos salat. not big, but very tasty. hubby had slowly boiled pigs ragu on tagliatelle, also very good. our main were slowly boiled bone with brokkoli and kartoffel and torfkuchen. It was a delicious dish, soft duck and a beautiful sauce. the presentation was very nice and our roommates were also very satisfied with their meals. a pleasant evening with good service of two cheerful young, efficient ladies."

"Visited today with a group of 10 ladies for lunch. Food was fantastic grest value for money. We mostly chose from the $14 lunch menu, but they also have an extensive menu, including kids meals. Most of us chose the Tempura Prawns which were...huge succulent, served with a lovely coleslaw honey sesame soy dipping sauce. But the desserts were to die for! A few had the Banofee Cream Pie but the winner was the Mars Bar Cheesecake! We'll definitely be back!!"
