"This morning I was the first time shopping at the new Edeka Center in Gaimersheim, right at Gruber Kreisel. The opening was in mid-April this year and really redefines the term supermarket. Greater than anything I have experienced in the region. Of course, there is also a bakery in the Edeka Center with a beautiful restaurant and a spacious outdoor area. Really impressive. Offer: In addition to the usual assortment of bakery bread, semmals, cakes, cakes and pastries, there is a wide range of options for the returning guest. There are also various breakfasts and scrambled eggs. The service is friendly and helpful. The trays will be brought to the table if the guests have their hands filled with shopping bags. Ambience: In addition to the sales counter, the area is curved with the offer for snacks. After that, behind glass is a show kitchen where the hot dishes are freshly prepared. At the other end is the area for cold and hot drinks. The restaurant area is beautiful and generously designed no comparison to the eating corners in other supermarkets. Various styles are used here in seating groups. From Nordic solid wood furniture to lounge-like earskins from the fifties. The decoration (up to the nostalgic filament lamps) is harmonious. Cleanliness is impeccable. The tables are regularly wiped and empty trays are removed. In the outdoor area there is a large terrace that narrows L shape around the building. Here too, the furniture has different styles. Numerous parasols hold the stay at bearable temperatures in the summer. Everything works clean and well maintained. Food: A fresh croissant (1.20 Euro) and a Cappucino (2.40 Euro). The Cappucino with a lot of foamed milk, beautifully aromatic and what surprise to a glass of water. Croissant and Cappucino My eyes were once again bigger than the stomach. I had a louse sesame rod with liver cheese (2.95 euros). Tenderless made with mustard dressing, a salad leaf, gurke and tomato. The Salamizöpferl (2.70 Euro) was a lye sesame pot, covered with salami, a slice of cheese and also salad leaf, cucumber and tomato. At the Island (4.29 euros) I came to my limits. A full-grained mule of bright yellow color, presumably from maize flour or potato dough. It was documented with plenty of raw salmon ham, a layer of fresh cheese with horseradish and the decoration already described. Uniquely good in taste and very saturating. The price is certainly appropriate. Sandwiches Conclusion: Just like the new Edeka Center, the branch of the bakery also counts wishes for superlatives. A rich selection with a generously designed restaurant. Inviting for more than just one snack in between. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. A visit is recommended."
