"Restaurant itself is old and feels like it needs a good cleaning or an update. I would assume that the kitchen is inspected regularly. The food itself is good. A lot of deep fried items, so if you are in the mood for deep fried, then this will cure your craving. Price seems average. Various combo specials for individuals."

"Service is hit and miss sometimes, I've had great service and bad service. Fries have a weird bitter after taste to them, maybe the oil used to fry the fries are bad? At first I thought it was a one off occurrence but I've gone several times and the fries have always had this weird taste.Service is not the best sometimes. I had ordered soft serve and waited and watched while everyone who had ordered after me received theirs, I reminded the staff thinking they had forgotten, but they rudely told me to wait because they assumed that I had ordered after everyone else and would not listen otherwise. Minor incident, but still leaves me with a negative impression."

"Food was average. My meal was the grilled chicken breast burger which was really good. Kids complained about poutines being very salty. Wife order a grilled cheese and there was barely any cheese on it."

"We arrived in Cobalt on a Wednesday at lunch time in late August in search of a place to eat. We discovered that there is only one open restaurant in Cobalt, and this was it. We wandered in and the place goes quiet and everyone...looks at us recognizing that we are not locals and apparently all of them were. The interior of the restaurant is very basic, with a decent amount of tables and I enjoyed the laminated historic photo that was on our table. The menu is pretty basic as well and my partner chose to go with the fish and chips. My partner was actually impressed with the fish that was a better quality than expected. Top points for the fresh cut french fries which we both enjoyed very much. I chose to go with the Silver Cafe Omelette with rye toast, and was grateful that when the waitress asked, the cook was able to still make it this late in the day. I thought the omelette had a substantial amount of vegetables in it and was pleased with how it was done. This is a small town cafe, the husband and wife who run it speak both English and French fluently, and both took the time to speak with us and were very friendly. They only serve breakfast and lunch, and there is lots of on street parking. If you are in town I can confidently say that this is the best place in town."

"Beautiful place, the food is beautiful and in combination with the ambience and service simply one brilliant place. all praise to the bosses for their courage and endurance after the ordeal around the pandemic. I only hope that working hours will be extended during the summer. I'll see you soon. cheers"
