"I was very disappointed in my experience at this bar last night. My boyfriend and I arrived around 9 or 9:30pm after finishing dinner at a nearby restaurant. We came into the bar and proceeded to order beers, but the bartender seemed to immediately have an issue with my boyfriend, despite us displaying no visible signs of intoxication. He claimed that my boyfriend had “stumbled in,” when we simply walked through the door. He asked where we had come from, and I said dinner, and he asked how many drinks my boyfriend had. I said “1 with dinner,” And the bartender scoffed, stating that he didn’t believe us and that he’d been “doing this a while” (which seemed difficult to believe as he looked all but 20 years old). When my boyfriend looked annoyed, he said in an aggressive tone, “I’m just looking out for you pal,” And then, even though a moment before seemed as though he was going to serve us, in an apparent display of power, since we dared to say that he was mistaken, he declared that he could not serve my boyfriend. So we left, without argument. Let me tell you, I’ve been a server before and I know the signs that you’re supposed to look for when cutting someone off at the bar. Well, the bar manager might want to have this bartender retake his TIPS certification course, because my boyfriend showed NONE of those signs. He literally just walked in and calmly ordered a beer, and the bartender decided to exercise his power just because he could. It’s really too bad, because I liked this bar before, but now I don’t think I’ll be going back."

"A couple times a summer we pull up our boat up to one of the Wequassett moorings and have lunch. The launch guys are always prompt and professional, which starts things off on the right foot. It was a beautiful day and the hostess immediately showed us to our table, which was right on the ocean side overlooking the water. My wife loves the blueberry lemonade and once again it did not disappoint. We had fish tacos and a brisket sandwich, two items which we've have before and are consistently excellent. I'm very impressed with the service at the Wequassett, whether it is 28 Atlantic, or the outer bar it is always exceptionally good."

"Great greasy spoon type operation. 1. Has a clean, unlimited dining area with about 6 tables in different lengths. 2. Koch was open to make things not on the menu. Monti Cristo wasn't on the menu, but he had a desire for it. 3. Waitress was friendly and informative when asked questions. 4. Clean toilets. 5. Need reservations for Covid. Minus: limited parking so early 5 people from party of 7 really liked the food. The eggs over simple were somewhat overdue, but perfectly... what was inconspicuous were the dark bottoms that looked like the grating was not properly cleaned. At home, Pommes were fine, but salty, so was the Kielbasa. The sausage was with a hint of unexpected pepper taste. Yum! Teens loved the pancakes and waffles with fruit and whipped cream. Coffee was good."

"Sat for the first time yesterday evening - what a lovely surprise so close to home! a lovely, cozy tavern with live music. eating was great, got a flower cabbage chest flatbread and garnel scampi, very cheap. service was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly and fun. music was a lot of pop and a country. what a great sound - we will be back!"
