"In my opinion their standard hamburger is not much different in quality than a BK Whopper, yet the way people line up to order you'd think it's the only place in town to eat. What's their secret? Its the La Poutine. La Poutine is considered a classic Quebec dish. The basic version is french fries smothered in gravy and cheese curds. Chez Ashton has a few varieties of this, and while it's not cheap, it's a great place to taste Quebec's favorite comfort food. In short, come here for the Poutine and not the burger and you'll be satisfied. Service was friendly by the way except they have trouble understanding European French so they will likely try to help you in English unless you speak Quebecois."
