"Lovely pub filled with lots of interesting local pictures and maritime “stuff”. The food was yummy, we couldn’t visit Penzance and pass by the chance of the fresh fish dishes not disappointed they were gorgeous. And next time we’d probably stay there as well as the rooms looked great."

"When we go to penzance, we regularly come to the waves cafe/bar for coffee and cake or a snack and always find the food and service excellent. there is always something tasty on the menu that cakes are to die, the waiting workers are very polite and attentive and the owners always say a point hallo and stop for a chat if it is not too busy, which is not often as it seems to be doing, it would recommend everyone."

"The many good reviews for this amazing little restaurant are all deserved. The service and staff were brilliant and friendly and the menu is extremely clever. The food which came exactly when we wanted it to was beyond delicious. We have never had better food anywhere. Simply cannot recommend this place enough, it isn't even expensive, absolute gem of a restaurant!"

"I myself and other half had luck having the whole restaurant to us last night! incredibly personal touch through the waitress (possibly the owner has not got their names! When she sat at the fire, everyone answered asking us about the food. we went for the vegetarian plate that was absolutely stunning. we really did not expect that so high-quality, tasty and well presented foods especially as vegetarian. blacks is a little gem and we are happy that we have found it. many thanks to the talented chef and friendly team, we had an amazing evening."
