"Sat with a red letter day voucher with my wife and my young daughter for a afternoon tea. at the arrival we were shown on our table and asked if our daughters had a separate sandwich as part of the tees for (This...was a really nice note and our daughters really enjoyed their sandwich and share the cake.) the afternoon was by far the best we had. quality ingredients and all really fresh. would highly recommend the afternoon. we had in past a meal in this restaurant and again it was clear to see and taste that quality ingredients were used. we will visit again! please support a local company that offers quality."

"My parents live close to The Oast House but have never tried it before so having spend a few days staying with me down on the South Coast, on bringing them back home I suggested we pop in and try it. The restaurant was quite...quiet but the staff very friendly, attentive and helpful. What can I say... the food was first class indeed my dad said it was the best Sunday Roast he'd ever had (quickly adding away from home' before my mom could be offended We all had the beef which was cut nice and thickly, with a couple of roast and new potatoes on the plate and a side bowl of vegetables. They even bought my dad an extra jug of gravy! All of the food was cooked lovely, and they beef cuts were perfect. After finishing our meal, we joked that we hadn't even asked the price and my dad said he was expected at least a tenner as they go to local carveries and pay that sort of amount. You can imagine his surprise (and my delight as I was paying! when the bill came and the meals were each excellent value for a Sunday Roast these days. As locals, they will definitely be coming back once the restrictions have eased but in the meantime I suspect they'll be trying out the takeaway options! Top class, high quality food. We can all highly recommend The Oast House."

"We recently used the Rose Room here to celebrate a platinum wedding anniversary. The staff and management could not have been more helpful. Great care and attention was taken with the layout of the room and a lovely buffet was provided. If you're just a normal pub visitor you'll find this is a traditional English village pub which is grade 2 listed. It hosts a comfortable bar and lounge both of which allow you to imagine the building back at its origins. There is also a large, well cared for beer garden. We can't thank this establishment enough. Vegetarian options: Definitely catered for. Parking: You might have to park just down the street but we've never had a problem. Wheelchair accessibility: Just let one of the staff know you've arrived and out comes the wheelchair ramp!"

"Dropped in for cocktails and a couple of beers after an evening meal. 2 small tables out front, we were able to get one. Cocktails are well made and pretty authentic, well priced too. Couple of draft beer options, Becks Blue for me sadly at the mo but served well chilled. There is an oddity that, sat at the back of pavement watching the world go by on a warm summers night we could have been anywhere. There is no harbour or stunning view. But there is an atmosphere of welcome and enjoyment. I love what these guys are trying, and succeeding, to do. In a crazy world there is a bit of cafe culture magic. In Astwood Bank....... who knew! There to be enjoyed, please do."
