"First time visitor for a carvery Sunday lunch. A dog friendly pub . Really impressed by the food, the beef was really tender and the selection of vegetables very interesting; fantastic mash, roast potatoes carrots and parsnips , cheese cauliflower and more. "Fantastic meal tonight at The White Lodge Attleborough. When I saw the menu I was very impressed and the prices are exceptionally keen. Really thought they would have to compromise on quality but not a bit of it. Nice to have real chunky chips. Really good service. Can’t wait to come back."

"Nice pub nestled away in a very pretty location. Ample parking or park for free at the front. Friendly staff and good food. Good portions but don't expect it to be too cheap £16.99 for a burger and chips but very nice quality."

"Awful service!!! Waited ages for our drinks to arrive, had to ask the waiter when they will arrive in order for him to remember we ordered! The drinks came watery as the ice had melted from how long they were sitting out for. Food was cold. I ordered cauliflower cheese with my roast, the waiter forgot to put this through and realised once i asked where it was. He then had the cheek to bring it out when I had nearly finished my meal!!! Had to tell him to take it back and remove from my bill. Overbooked for the amount of staff they had working. Very disappointed as we wanted to visit this place for a while. Never received such bad service before."

"The number of times I had to walk past The Solent on our recent holiday without going in doesn't bear thinking about. It looked like such a warm vibrant place that I made it my holiday mission to pay this pub a visit. We came late afternoon so probably not as vibrant as it undoubtedly would have been later, but we enjoyed this friendly welcoming place nonetheless. The real ales I had, Hobgoblin Gold and High and Dry were both well kept and therefore tasted as good as they should. I'm sad I couldn't have visited more and spent a longer visit."
