"Had two visits here and two different experiences.The first time for coffee mid-afternoon, friendly staff and after a walk to then end of the prom we came back for lunch. I had the blue cheese burger and my wife had goats cheese salad. Reggie the dog had the treats we brought with us.Both meals seemed pretty freshly cooked and were enjoyable. On the second visit. It was windy. Not Force 10 by any means. But coaxing any waiting staff out to serve us proved mission impossible. So we gave up. I don't expect fawning waiters but I do expect someone to see you sitting there and cone out rather than simply ignore you."

"The location of this place is absolutely great and well worth the walk along the promenade or down from the ramparts. The food is OK but over priced for the quality, in all probability trading on the location. The service when we went was haphazard with no obvious organisation but all the staff were pleasant, the food was fine - the mussels in particular coming in for high praise. We ended up having a very pleasant long lazy lunch in the sunshine with a great backdrop across the bay to Crotoy."

"Was looking for a lovely restaurant to celebrate a family members Birthday. The restaurant accommodated 10 of us in the upstairs restaurant area. The menu was full of local fish and traditional dishes to. We had the lamb shanks and they were superb. When we...visit again this will be on our list to eat out there."

"The restaurant is rather small but it makes up for it with its river view and nice food. It packed up quickly and was of average price. I had fish soup and mussels as main dish. Both were quite tasty. The waiter and waitress were friendly. This is the 2nd best restaurant I went to in St Valery s/ Somme. I recommend it vividly."

"We went there because presumably they were serving the best mussels in town but we were truely disappointed. We had a traditionnal ficelle picarde as a starter on which they used crème épaisse for the sauce, which was perfectly fine but then when we...had the mussels à la crème the chef did not bother to use real cream but instead used the rest of the crème épaisse and simply put it on top of the mussels... this is definetely not how you prepare the moules à la crème ... The ready-made sauce on the obviously not fresh salad was very poor and was an indication that they are not ambitious to serve nice food.This was in fact again confirmed by the fact that the cook preferred watching the television instead of preparing a decent meal... Very disappointing dinner and not to be recommended!!"
