"I had such an amazing experience yesterday on Fathers Day. Hayley and Liz who both worked behind the bar were very friendly and accommodating. Our experience at the pub would not have been the same without them! Will be coming back here again to watch the Rugby and for the amazing Roast!"

"Went here for a 50th birthday lunch as a party of 3. Was very disappointed in food. No starter that we requested was available, only 2 out of 3 mains available and no chosen desert available. What we did receive was OK. Service was good and waiter was apologetic about lack of availability. The expresso martini machine wasn't working so the bar staff were unable to recreate this classic despite us having 2 rounds during the meal. When booking the table it was specified that it was a 50th birthday but no effort nevermind extra effort was shown to mark the occasion. We were left feeling a bit flat about the whole meal and occasion."

"Fabulous food, excellent service. I’d highly recommend a visit to this place. We had a family event there last night and enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back today for lunch.....except it was sooo busy we couldn’t get a table. Hardly surprising to be honest!!"

"Absolutely lovely steak and chips.Waiters are welcoming and accommodating.Creamed spinach needs more... well, cream and season. No fresh black pepper or salt on hand.Salt and pepper packets served instead.All in all decent experience. Will go again"

"Okay. I love real ale, so I'm the place paradies. 12 hand pumps from quality-alo served brightly and in excellent condition. So for me everyone is visiting a mini beer festival. to capture the experience, they have loyalty cards, so every tenth pint they receive free! They also have a series of apple wines from hand pump and for the craft beer enthusiasts there is a great deal. I also spied a good selection of craft bottle beers. there is also an extensive menu. I can personally brush for the sunday roast, along with her cake a little special. as regards ambiente, it is a classic traditional pub that strongly supports rugby. harlequin's home games and internationals can be very busy, but on a good wise! on normal days there are background music, and I mean background that is donated by a record player and regular who donates their vinyl collections. the staff of the bar accepts requests. in summer there is a spacious garden, ideal for family occasions and the pub is very dog-friendly. in winter there can be a heated marquee in the garden. Finally, there is the staff who are very customer-centric, friendly, efficient and effective."
