"We returned to the Anchorage recently as we've had beautiful meals there in the past. Unfortunately, this time it was not the case. While the front of house staff were lovely and reasonably efficient there must have been problems in the kitchen. We both had very ordinary meals which should've been delicious and paid full restaurant prices for them when they were definitely not worth it. We left wishing we'd gone to the local supermarket and bought a frozen meal to put in the microwave in the motel. Very disappointed."

"The hotel had a wide variety of meals mainly concentrating on the schnitzels. I ordered roast lamb which was very nice except it was on pile of mashed potato (only seemed like the packet sort) and was a bit disappointing. My partner had sizzling lamb rump. We had to wait for quite some time for our meals and the lamb rump was still part raw in the centre. There is a wide selection of vegetables and salads. We had soup which we served ourselves with but it seemed also to be very watered down. The schnitzels seems to be their best meal."

"Great food and very friendly staff! We went to Qahwa with a big group booking for the birthday last weekend, and we had the best time. Katie and the team have given us an incredible spread of vegetarian/vegan food, and it was delicious! The coffee is also really good. The staff was super courtesy and friendly. The location is perfect, right on the beach. Qahwa is also super child friendly. Definitely recommend!"

"A great cafe at the entrance to the new Victor Harbor road. My friend and I thought coffee was part of our morning hike routine. It is open at 7.30 a.m., the coffees are prepared hot with excellent coffee beans. When we had breakfast, the meals were served by a high standard immediately at the tables. Overall a beautiful relaxed atmosphere inside or outside, depending on the weather conditions at the time."
