"Food was very bad, my french fries were soft and oily, the burger was overcooked and falling apart. There was no menu in English and the waiter was not able to explain what the food was made of. It was quite expensive also."

"Stopped here for dinner today. My husband loved his cheese burger, the sauce was particularly tasty! My wrap had nice flavours but would be better warm/hot. Suggestion would be toasting the wrap?? That would be a definite improvement! The cakes were very nice and sweet! We did have to wait a while for our food plus I think the drinks options could be improved. All in all I will return for another slice of cheesecake."

"Good beers and very nice service! Staff made sure we could get a terrace table after a brief wait inside. The place can get crowded, but the atmosphere is nice. Specially great when Calea Victoriei is pedestrian during weekends."

"Yesterday, I left the place wondering myself if accidentally I haven’t had a time travel back to the 40’s darkest times. Let’s start with the beginning: upon our arrival we asked for the bar menu, the waiter said there aren’t any ??? . I asked him how I’m supposed to know what bottles he has and what he can offer, very offended he replied I have to ask him. Ok. I asked for the champagne, he gave the brands but not the prices ??? . When I told him I’d like to know the prices, annoyed and full of despise, he went to check on the till to give the information. He only gave one starting price but whatever, we had reasons to celebrate so we order our bottle. As no tables were available so we stood at the bar myself, my husband, and my cousins . When we ordered the second bottle, as they had no idea if they accept Amex payment, the waiter made a test with a bottle of water which he was now obliged to charge me. Took me 5 minutes to convince him to cancel the water I NEVER ASKED FOR and only sell me the bottle of champagne. By the way, I found the menu online today, they overcharged the bottle which explains why they refused to give the receipt . In the meantime, a nasty drunk middle aged guy tried to hit on the girls. My husband told him nicely to stay at acceptable distance, he stopped for 5 minutes, then tried again, getting closer and closer. My cousin asks him to leave her alone, without any success. He had that dirty look and behaviour which makes you navigate in between anger and disgust. After long minutes of negotiation while he was explaining us why we shouldn’t be offended when he puts his hands on us, I stepped in, warned him to leave the girls alone: hands off, no talk, stay away! My husband was about to interfere also as my request wasn’t acceptable for him. Apparently, that guy was friend with the waiter which called the bouncer on us. He arrived and asks us to move away, to go somewhere else. I went to talk with him, asking if he finds normal to tell people to move away because of a shameless drunk man. And form here everything went down to hill: he stood up he’s over two meters tall , became aggressive and said “of course it’s normal, it’s a club. What do you expect? They are men and have needs. If you stay there it means you love the attention he gives you, it’s up to you go somewhere else. Now disappear I have better things to do than listen to you!” As I wasn’t executing his orders fast enough and still was trying to make my point, he pushed me and threatened my husband and I. I understood I couldn’t get anywhere with this person, and left. To resume, this place agrees that men have all rights while women should just be pretty and shut up. We have to accept men running their hands over our body while no one interfere. We have to understand that if we dance it means we search for attention. And if we are really bothered about pushy pervs twice older than us, we are the ones who should go somewhere else. They remain kings and we are just objects for their pleasure. The staff’s behaviour is dangerous and inappropriate, they fail to make you feel safe into their club, even more, they are a bigger threat than the others."

"La Ciurucuri is situated in the heart of the city in the close vicinity of Cismigiu Park. The restaurant surprises its customers with the most unusual setting. There are stoves, air fans, typing machines and old radios hanged from the ceiling, prompting the customers to believe they have stumbled upon an antique shop. The atmosphere is nonetheless, very welcoming, the waiters are attentive and dedicated to give the best customer service. The menu, which is presented in an amusing way, offers a variety of mouth-watering starters. I had quesadilla, a type of mexican sandwich, while my friends tried La Ciucucuri sandwich . Everything was top-notch. The plates were in fact quite consistent and I also had the best coffee I have ever had in Bucharest. It was followed by the most delicious cheesecake reinterpreted by the chef, for dessert. I would gladly have ordered a second course, but suddenly I remembered I was on a diet :D I highly recommend going to La Ciurucuri and try their menu."
