"I've always said that the place that makes most of the shops in Winchester, CT is the Dairy Queen. There are many good places to eat here, like Rowley's, The Tributary, Kent Pizza, Monaco's Ristorante, (all checked) and others, but the winner seems to be the DQ. Also on this April evening, forty degrees, as spring weather vacillates from warm to cold, the line was long to wait your turn on ice. Not a dessert person, I passed to get a hot fudge sun visor for my mother, and could not resist getting something for me... the cherry red dipped cone with the classic vanilla soft serve ice cream. Sublime experience to lead the cone back and forth with my partner. If you want nuts with the hot Fudge Sundae, you need to ask them. You can choose pecans or peanuts. There were many pecans. Nice."
