"We are loving Vero Italian. The food is delicious and short but nice wine list. Definitely an undiscovered gem for us locals. Recommend the bucatini and lasagna, so far. Going back tonight!"

"Subject: Dinner at the Redfish Grill, 9610 Old Cutler Rd, Saturday February 19, 2005. Last night we went out to the Redfish to celebrate my daughter 's birthday. There were four adults in the party. We had 8:30pm reservations, arrived at 8:45pm and were seated at 9:00pm. As you know the Redfish has no bar, so we waited in the ;lobby ; while a cold air blast from the a/c played upon us not necessary, last night was chilly. From there it was all downhill. In list form, the below recounts our experience... 1. Seated at an outside four top in plastic lawn chairs that are available at K Mart for about $8.00 on sale (there are wood chairs, but not too many outside . The table cloth is plastic and was wet from the bussing. On the table there were four napkins with one fork and one knife rolled up inside. There were also two (not four full glasses on the table. Thirsty, I took a sip the glasses were full of Sprite not water. Obviously whoever bussed the table left the glasses there from the prior party given that, only two more glasses of water would be needed. Less work, but not too smart. 2. Waited for our waiter while we waited for water as well. After about five or ten minutes the waiter appeared and asked if we were ready to order. I asked for four glasses of water he asked if we wanted wine. Only two of us drink wine and I asked for two glasses of Pinot Grigio. No Pinot by the glass, it seems, only by the bottle (Amazing, and it 's such a popular wine! Ordered a bottle it came before the water. The water finally arrived by bus boy, but no bread so I asked the bus boy for bread another wait. 3. Ordering the lobster bisque, snapper, swordfish and the Florida lobster (and reminding the waiter that I liked hot soup went OK. The waiter then disappeared (something he was very good at doing and after a while the soup appeared. The soup was hot enough, but tasted burned, as though it came from the bottom of the pot without much stirring. No one finished the soup except me (I love soup . 4. After another wait, and after asking another waiter to get more bread, our entrees arrived. Here 's the lineup and the outcomes: Swordfish, ;Tasted like cardboard ; Snapper, ;Tasted like it was warmed up, not fresh ; Lobster, OK, but when I asked for a cocktail fork (and after explaining that it was the little fork that most people use to eat lobster , I was told that it had been a busy night and no cocktail forks were left. I called over the manager and suggested that someone wash a cocktail fork and bring it to the table. After a while he appeared with a cocktail fork on a monkey dish, with a cocktail napkin and 1 lemon wedge and told me that it was ;...from my private stock ;. Oh. When I asked for drawn butter (their lobster is served with a paprika, garlic butter and waiting while the lobster was getting colder remember, we are outside and the night is chilly hot drawn butter arrived with another story that the chef (the CHEF, mind you had to melt the butter personally. Oh, wow. 5. The dessert (crème brulee was okay and four off key waiters sang Happy Birthday to my daughter, who by this time was shivering from the cold night air (I had to get her a blanket from my car . Two coffees and one hot tea were ordered we got three coffees and a cup of hot water in mugs placed on demi tasse saucers hardly a match, mugs do not fit into the small indentation of a demi tasse saucer. After a while (remember, it 's chilly and my hot water is cooling rapidly , the tea chest appeared and I selected a tea. Regrettably, by this time the water was not hot enough to brew the tea. Another search for our waiter, who by this time had advanced hiding from an art to a science. Gave up. Called yet another waiter over he wasn 't too busy in fact he was in an animated conversation with five young ladies at a table near us if he were any more engrossed in the conversation, he probably would have sat down and joined them for coffee and requested hot water (presumably this would be prepared by the CHEF, who seems to have a fair amount of expertise in making things hot remember the soup and the butter? . At last! Hot tea and a chance to leave after settling the check which was substantial and far above anything the dinner was worth. Oh, well another restaurant off the list. P.S. we are no strangers to evaluating food and service. Passenger Shipping creates the comment cards used by major cruise lines. Our comment cards and system have been used by Crystal, Carnival, Silversea, Costa, Premier, American Family, Color Lines (Oslo, Norway , and Cunard, to name a few."

"I really love the esthetic upon arriving. It’s very sexy and well lit not to bright or too dim perfect for date night. The food was so amazing and we also loved the drink options crafted drinks are my fave which they specialize in. It was overall a great experience. I would also take my girls it’s a lounge upstairs with great music and hookah and the esthetic is breathtaking upstairs as well. 5 stars across the board i highly recommend!"
