"Wow is the best word to describe this restaurant. The food, service and ambience was beyond our expectations. The bread and the eggplant dip that was included in our dinner was so delicious. Two of us had the filet mignon... amazing. And one on us had the seafood linguini that she said was superb. The Panna cotta and the lemon cake was so good. Even the French press coffee you couldn't have just one. Our waiter Mario went above and beyond. They all treated us like royalty! Definitely will go again. Can't believe didn't know about this place as I so at the Popa Joe's and its in the same strip mall. Do go you will actually love this place. "Not a ton of gluten free options.Vern’s is a cute place right in park ave (expect to find street parking somewhere else and walk).The menu and dishes are supposed to be shared, but will require some work to cut up and divide with your friends. We ordered the pork belly, stone fruit salad, clams, polenta, pizza, and focaccia. Pizza and focaccia not gluten free, but the other items were.The dishes come out when they are ready (super tiny kitchen) which gives this a surprise timing. The staff were friendly and mostly helpful.I was disappointed by many of the dishes. They lacked a certain level of flavor and were awkward to share since I had to cut and divide everything.We had a party of 5 and enjoyed the outdoor dining. Not a bad experience just not the best food around."

"We went to the Cub Room for a birthday celebration. We were greeted very nicely and were seated immediately. Our waiter, Jordan was great! He knew everything about the menu and explained it perfectly. Speaking of the menu, what an eclectic mix of deliciousness! Overall, we were made to feel comfortable, special and were VERY SATISFIED with the service, food and atmosphere!"
