"We tried their seafood Spaghetti Marinara, traditional lasagna, and their woodfired pizza ...Thought id died gone to heaven. The prices are validated, the food is with out a doubt next level. We caught up with the head Chef and Crew running the woodfired pizza oven... so much experience and love went into those meals... what a wonderful night Compliments also to the table waitress, as we recieved 10 out of 10 service I will be flying my entire family back down from Brisbane just to have another night in your restaurant !"

"For the price we paid you would expect the steak to be perfect and the wait staff to come back and ask how everything is. Not here! But they did come back and say there was a problem after we paid. The problem being that...when we split the bill 3 ways, we had miscalculated and we had paid 70 cents short. Pretty pissed that we were never asked how the meal was and there was never a chance to rectify it and the 70 cents was requested. Again? Doubt it."

"I've been to Est twice- for the dinner tasting menu and lunch à la carte, so my review below is based on both experiences.<br>

Service is fairly good. Staff are largely attentive, helpful and friendly, although there were a few instances of forgetting our requests.<br>

Ambience and decor are very nice, creates a lovely setting to relax and catch up with friends. In the day especially, the light pours in through the tall windows and creates a lovely bright mood.<br>
<br>
Unfortunately the food and drinks can be a hit or miss. Some of the dishes were quite nice and some really were not (found quite a few to be too salty, too dry). Some of the cocktails were not great either (e.g. mine tasted too similarly to Thai green curry for my preference!)<br>
<br>
Overall-- Est is great for service, ambience and environment, but you'll find better food and drink elsewhere."

"I booked a weekend high tea for family lunch but my expectation was quite low after reading some mediocre reviews on Tripadvisor. The main complaint from Tripadvisor was the unprofessional and incompetent service that didn’t match star rating of the hotel. Much to my relief, it turned out to be a delightful lunch whereby all four of us enjoyed ourselves and left satisfied. <br>

As soon as we were ushered to our table by the window overlooking Market Street and State Theatre, they served water and took our drink orders straightaway. There was no delay or difficulty getting staff attention as some people described on Tripadvisor. Throughout the lunch our water glasses were often topped up and there was always staff nearby to take orders of tea or alcoholic drinks swiftly. Our plates were removed timely to make room for the next course. Staff advised us about the end of lunch service so that we wouldn't miss out on anything if we were still going. By and...
