"Simply crazy we come to taormina to celebrate the surprise birthday of my sweet half and would not have existed better place to dine. Unfortunately the strangely low temperature forced us to dine indoors thus losing the wonderful terrace with a view of the sea, but the interior small, cozy, intimate did not make us feel the lack of the outdoor panorama. last but not least, the dishes: All exquisite. the excellent raw material makes you feel the true flavors of the sea. prices in the average and, being the owner a pastaro the portions are satisfactory. the reception and sympathy of the owner put the cherry on the cannolo"

"We came here for dinner. Had the place to ourselves, so Antonio and Maria did a great job taking care of us. The small plates and snacks were just what we wanted for us and our two small children after having a large lunch earlier. The burrata was just incredible. We also enjoyed the toasted sandwiches and bruschetta."

"Taormina isn’t the most vegan friendly town so I was so pleased that Zagara had a vegan menu. Everything I ordered from it (bruschetta, insalata mista, and pesto spaghetti) was to die for. The prices were so reasonable and the restaurant was very cute. I will definitely be coming back."

"We were feeling lazy tonight, and even thought about room service, but a quick search on Trip Advisor revealed Villa Antonio was almost as close as our hotel bar. How glad we were that we crossed the road, with no reservation and were welcomed in and shown a table on the handsome terrace. The moon was full in the sky, casting a magical light across the water and illuminating Bella Isola, the view was breath-taking fore-shadowing the food to come. As an interlude we were treated (sic) to a transatlantic horror show from the next table. The Vodka martini requested (Grey Goose, shaken and various other requests) could not be provided because owing to some olive apartheid the requisite colour was unavailable. Settling for what was to them an unsatisfactory compromise involving lemon rinsed around the rim and various other niceties it was declared uncivilised (after the waiter departed). All this in an ancient seat of civilisation, close to the birth place of Archimedes whose principle explains the flotation of said absent olive. I think I have made my point, lets move onto the food. Rigatoni with minced lamb was perfection, the filet of beef melted in the mouth accompanied by baby leek and potato millefoglie. Desserts “pistachio verde” and meringue with strawberry and mousse were beautiful on both the plate and the palate (pictures attached). Every aspect of the food from the amuse bouche, through the home made breads and onto the main courses were presented with love and attention, ingredients of the highest quality and delivered by knowledgeable staff who even took the time to help improve our very limited Italian. Rarely has an act of laziness been as well rewarded. I thoroughly recommend Villa Antonio. It is not cheap, nor should it be. It is food, service and atmosphere without compromise."
