"Let me start off by saying that the hype for these acai bowls are no joke! The acai bowls are fire . They were far different from the usual toppings and acai mix that we were accustomed to . All that can be said is that they were delicious.This place is busy so I can understand other yelpers being upset about the wait time. I too am one of those who waited 10 minutes before being helped. What was amazing was not even a hello we'll be right with you or a thank you for waiting what will you have. A little acknowledgement goes a long way in the customer service industry, hence the deduction of 1 star.Once helped the girls working behind the counter rocked it and whipped up our two bowls in no time and boy were they delicious.Chloe was amazing. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area for a tasty acai or pitaya bowl."

"Da Crack is Da Bomb! My husband actually said it’s the best Mexican restaurant food he has ever had their Mexican rice tasted just like his mom’s! . Food was amazing, portions are large, service was prompt efficient, prices were reasonable. There is no seating, it’s a walk-up take your food to-go style of eatery. But I would rather grab my food get back to the beach anyway, I am in Hawaii after all We visited Da Crack about 7:30 on a Friday night. There was a line of about 20 people when we first arrived so we were a little concerned about getting our order in by closing at 8pm . Our concern was, however, unwarranted. The team taking filling orders was running like a well-oiled machine. We the 20 people in front of us all had our food in our hands by 7:50. One of the guys working behind the counter even offered to get me a box bc I was having trouble carrying all the food myself. He then ran literally ran all the way to the back of the building to get a box for me. Definitely will be our go-to place to eat when we are on Kauai’s south shore. You can even place your order online just go pick it up. Really happy to have stumbled upon this place! We got chicken tacos on corn tortillas, beef tacos on flour tortillas, and a carne asada bowl. Already devoured most of the tacos before I thought to take a picture!"

"I eat tacos in Los Angeles all the time and most taco places get a generic prepared meat. I was very impressed with Taco Libre’s tacos. I had the mahi fish taco and pastor. They were both delicious. The homemade habanero salsa was delicious as well. It’s crazy how coming all the way from Cali to Kauai, I would find an authentic Mexican place who uses pasted on recipes from their ancestors. Thank you for giving me a taste of grandma’s home cooking!"

"Love tortilla republic, fell in love 3 years ago when the restaurant had the top and bottom to it, food and quality is what it’s always been( chips and salas is amazing with just the right amount of acid and the custom guacamole rounds out any meal. Their happy hour is not your average and has lots of premium items."

"We stumbled upon Chalupas during our vacation and were so glad we did! Authentic food with great taste and its affordable. We even came back for one last meal before we left Kauai. Highly reccomend!"

"We stayed for the first time in a Mexican restaurant and had to pay for the chips and salsa that were available as an appetizer for $8. Also was an additional fee of $3 for choosing the sauce for a wet burrito that I definitely do when Burrito was a little dry. Wife had chicken nachos and was good. Went during a slower time at 16:00 on Thursday. Good service and beautiful Kauai surroundings along a golf course with colorful mountains in the background. had rated three stars for food, but the service, attitude and margarita were on four stars."
