"Shirley's Burger Barn is under new management with a new crew with a well known cook who's worked at many old school Alaskan restaurants. I rarely eat in Talkeetna even though I live fairly close for various reasons. I decided to give it a try and had the A-1 Burger with mushrooms, onions and Swiss cheese. Awesome burger, it was big and fat and loaded. The owner and his son were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is basic and set up for winter operations since the restaurant is a food trailer. There are outdoor propane heaters and picnic tables. If you're looking for something different and really good, check out Shirley's Burger Barn."

"Adorable and seemingly new small food bus. Have the OG Breakfast Candy (top) and Americana (bottom) and both were amazing! Also Matcha Latte and ice drops were good. I really like the whimsical design of their menu and packaging! Did not expect this attention to detail. This place is just a short walk from the campsite Talkeetna and the start of the boat. There are also many parking spaces when you arrive by car."
