"That is one of my local restaurants favorite. I am here at least once the week. that is the most friendly restaurant of the city. marcos and the whole staff they feel like family of the second in which they go. the eating is good, the portions are huge (the large bowl of suppe is literally larger than my head,) and the margs are strong. I wish I could give this place more than five stars because they really deserve it. and while they do not find it on the menu, make sure to ask the churros. they are the best!"

"I’m local and live in pretty close walking distance to pure eats. I go often and usually don’t have any problems. But today was the worst service I’ve ever had from this place, it was almost as if done on purpose. Went in today (12/5 at around 2pm) and order 2 grilled chicken sandwiches; one with pickles and lettuce, the other with only pickles and onion. Also ordered a donut. Cashier made a phone call when going to the back (mentioned she was a florist if that helps determine who this was) and then gossiped with the cook. Cashier brings out my food with a smile on her face and said “here’s your hot and ready food made especially just for you!” Smiled said thank you. Got home from my not even 3 minute walk down the street and my sandwiches were cold. One sandwich didn’t even have the lettuce on it that I asked for and instead was tomato. Also was a random tomato on mine with the onion and pickle. Also did not receive my donut that I ordered. Am very disappointed and not sure if I will be coming back. Mistakes happen but when they happen very often and are lied to the customers face about it is truly unacceptable. I don’t blame the business or the owner at all but these workers need to be help accountable. And I would like my donut lol."

"Had a wonderful meal here with my girlfriend! The Hoppin ' John was plain, but nice. Not overly flavorful, but still great. We also had one of the daily specials prepared vegan. Baked eggplant topped with cherry tomatoes marinated in balsamic, and chopped almonds. This dish was heavenly. Alfalfa 's has a simple, neat atmosphere, and a very friendly staff. They are exceedingly proud of their localness and are were happy to serve two hungry vegans! Updated from previous review on Tuesday March 31, 2015"
