"Most Indian restaurants are, at worst, not memorable? The Taj, however, is one of the worst Indian experiences I’ve had in many years. This was a delivered meal… Seek kebab was dry as if it had been sitting around for a while, not at all appetizing, didn’t look good. Mint sauce was thin and watery, lacking flavour. onion Bahji was the first Flat onion bhaji i’ve ever seen, the shape of a burger? And soft! Not a crispy ball of flavour. The menu described it as a mixture of onions and potatoes with egg (never heard of that but I thought I’d give it a go) Nah! I ordered a plain nan but received what I assume was a peshwari nan, It looked like it was filled with sugar but I think it was coconut powder? Chicken Jalfrezi was just OK Lemon rice, similar. And the delivery was late… I can’t believe the good reviews on here, seems like a different restaurant?"

"Food always excellent, first class service by staff. Only problem on our visit was an unsupervised child swinging on chairs. No fault of restaurant owner, only that the childs parents were obviously thick."

"Went with a couple of mates on a Saturday night. The food itself was average (not amazing but not poor), but the service made us feel as if we were burdening them. Levels of interaction were minimal, certainly nothing in their behaviour to enhance our...experience for this to be nothing more than eating food. I can eat food at home, I come to a restaurant for an experience. I wouldn't go back again, it seemed that outside the fact we were cashflow, we were generally an inconvenience."
