"Chicken Karahi was good but as somebody who eats a lot I would have liked more for $20. I’m writing this review because I feel like I was scammed. Not in a big way (how big could it be at a small family restaurant) but it was more the feeling that bothered me. The chickeb karahi was $18.99 for bone-in and $19.99 for boneless. I ordered bone-in but the man at the cashier insisted that boneless and bone-in had the same price of $19.99, even though. I didn’t push him on it but I wish I did, even just to ask why they didn’t update the menu billboard pricing yet. Later on while eating it felt like we were getting side eyed by another man who either was part of the staff or who was friends with the staff. Though it’s possible I’m just looking too much into it. Weird experience aside, the interior of the restaurant is not well maintained, the booths are cracked with the stuffing revealed, but overall it’s still clean and not something I normally care too much about. Coupled with the aforementioned behavior, though, I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I tipped 15% which in hindsight didn’t make sense. I ordered “for here” but the cashier forgot and instead asked my friend who ordered “to go” whether I was “to go” and my friend just said I was. Which again is not a big deal but everything added up to a poor experience I feel the need to give feedback about."

"Honestly, I don't know why this place has so many mediocre reviews on Google. Every time I was in this place, the food was excellent! For authentic Punjabi food, this is the best place I had in the USA so far. Especially recommend all their chaat golgappe and aloo tikki chat are my favorites. The golgappe (pani puri shells) are cumbersome, I think the only place in the USA where I had them. Of course, you can't go without their special cholesterol. Again the bhatoore are made fresh, the chana masala is really dhaba style. The first time I came across spices in the Chana-Masala and my heart has warmed. 10/10 and I recommend this place to all those who visit the DC area."

"I'd like to order my daughter's birthday cake. We wanted to have a custom cake to be Halal. Just like in the catalogue. It was delicious. They're fast. Price is affordable. They even wrote names in a language they don't speak. They also gave a free candle. Overall, I recommend my friends as the best cake place."

"*Update* I've since ordered multiple times and it is consistently DELICIOUS and the orders are always accurate. I'm just really impressed. The flavors ????????. I've ordered the paneer versions of several and they are also good. They know how to cook and they clearly care about the food and service! Original: Ordered delivery through their website linked vendor last week. THE FLAVORS ugh I've been waiting to find delicious, spiced, FRESH take out like this with rich, deepflavors. Have only tried it this once so will need more meals to test consistency. We ordered: Lamb Karahi (spicy) 4.5 stars Butter Chicken(medium) 5 stars Lahori Grill Fish 4 stars Chickpeas 4 stars for freshness and flavor, 3stars for chickpeas being overcooked (I prefer more bite to mine rather than mushier textures) Naan 4 stars fresh Mango Lassi yogurt forward, a good middle blend, tasty The stews/sauces are crave worthy. I don't know what is in thebutter chicken but it is really, really, REALLY good. I ordered medium (heat) on that but it didn't seem to have any heat..maybe I've upped my tongue's heat game unknowingly or they list heat levels for the unaccustomed palate? Stilldelicious. Not a huge portion, so be aware. I liked the Lahori Grill fish it was flaky and fresh..a tad on the salty side but nothing to pause over becauseonce mixed with rice/sauces it's perfect so perhaps this is intentional. I orderedLamb Karahi spicy and it was more a medium heat if anything but this could have been a fluke. Heat levels can be pretty subjective so suffice it to say I'll order with extra peppers next time. Karahi was served in a larger container thanthe butter chicken and had a lot of meat in it. I will try the paneer versions of these dishes next time! Oh and there will def. be a next time. All in all my feeling is 5 out of 5 when rated against comparative options in the area.Amazing flavors!"
