"Whilst trundling around the old town in Clermont Ferrand, looking for a place to have dinner, we came across this tiny restaurant in a back street the wonderful, exotic smells of the east wafted down the street and once we saw the ambience of this...tiny restaurant, seating only 20 people at the most, we were smitten no more rich French cooking tonight, a curry it will be !! I've never eaten at a Pakistani restaurant before, but like most Brits, I have eaten many an Indian curry in my time. The menu is not overly extensive and features mild dishes such as biryanis and tandooris there is an absence of hot dishes such as madras, vindaloos etc ..... it appears Pakistani cuisine is far more subtle the dishes are milder but accompanied by hot chilli paste which you can mix in yourself if you want your meal more firey. The owner, Kahlid Mahmood, a man of few words, was amazing he not only serves the food and drinks, he also does all the cooking and the washing up (by hand) in a tiny galley kitchen. Our very reasonably priced food was freshly prepared and utterly delicious ....... it was a nice change to get away from French cuisine for the night, and I can fully recommend Le Petit Tandoori it's an experience !!"

"The food here is delicious. The butter chicken, Tikka chicken dishes were amazing. It took a bit for our food, but we had a party of 6. My 8-year-old didn't want to taste the dishes they had. They had chicken nuggets and pommes for the little ones. What I thought was great. My daughter tried every dish we had ordered and she loved the food. There were 3 other people who were with us who tried never Indian food and they loved it. The waitress was so helpful and patient she was so friendly. I definitely come back when I'm at Clermont."

"Since I moved far away from a favorite Indian restaurant of mine, I learned how to make chicken tikka masala and palak paneer so I could have it any time I want, but now I won't have to make it myself anymore when Bombay Masala does it so much better than I ever could. Tried the tikka masala, samosa, palak paneer, and the raita as well, all fantastic, even the rice was seasoned and special. I'll definitely be coming back for more since I could never quite get it the same at home. This place has exactly the flavors I've been missing for so long. Other places around town were a little bland, but THIS one is the real deal."

"You have many options, including vegan, food was packed with taste and very generous. They chose between 5 different levels of spices (mild, light, medium, hot and extreme), which is great for us because we have difficulty enjoying spicy foods. Very fast service. The only drawback is that the building in which the restaurant is located is not very attractive."
