"This place is consistently high quality, and located within walking distance of the best bars in Saskatoon. I had a few meals here while I was in town, and I was never disappointed. No doubt about it, poutine is a greasy, fattening, hearty meal. And when you want something that hits all those spots just right... Smokes is the place to go. It is so damn good. Always a bonus: incredibly fast service. I spent longer trying to choose what I wanted on every single trip, than it took to get the poutine ready and into my waiting hands."

"The Coffee was expensive and tasteless. I thought I had a winner withe a lobster crab melt that was piping hot on the outside, but the middle with the seafood-mayo mix was ice cold. My wife had a butter chicken bowl of rice and it might have been close to what butter chicken tastes like but not in my experiences. Waste of time and on the expensive side!"

"The first point is that Black Pepper aren't serving 'halal' food with the disgustingly barbaric slaughter it necessitates, which fact both animal lovers and animal rights activists will definitely appreciate. Plus, of course, the food is very good and any curry lover (in the ranks of which I definitely stand) will have a great eating experience there. Additionally, they offer both take-out and delivery, and their menu has a very wide selection. So if you're looking to sit down and take in some Indian subcontinental cuisine or you're at home and looking for some good chow to go with your movie and beer, I'd recommend Black Pepper."
