"This place offers pretty good south Indian variety of food. I've been here a few times and have tried their dosa's, curries and biriyanis and the food has been consistently decent.<br/ <br/ I'll recommend trying the butter chicken dosa or the onion/tomato uttapa."

"I'm a regular at Shahi Jervois Road now, as I've had such a great experience with eating there. We often order takeaways as the Butter Chicken here is the best I've ever had not too sweet, but full of flavour. But better than that, the staff always recognise me and are so friendly! They often recognise my voice (and regular order) on the phone and are lovely and generous, often treating me with free poppadoms or delicious desserts. They were also very kind when I had a group of friends go there for dinner on my birthday a number of my friends had not shown up, so there were less of us than I'd booked for, and we were a bit late too. But they didn't say a word about it and were friendly as ever, even though I'm sure it was very annoying. Would recommend Shahi 110%, for the lovely people and the great food!"

"100% best indian food I've had in the city. The chickpea vegetarian meal I had was fantastic. I will definitely be back and will recommend it to everybody I know as the place to go."

"The chicken tandoori and the garlic and cheese naan bread were two of the best dishes. The staff was polite, attentive, and always cleared our table and replenished our drinks. The restaurant is clean, cosy, and has excellent ambient and good lounge music. It also has good ventilation. Without a doubt, we'd return and highly recommend it."

"This place makes the best cofe, it's not too hot like some other places which makes it drinkable straight away. The food is delicious and always cooked perfectly, my favorite is the Asian chicken omelet yummy"

"The best curry house in New Zealand consistently excellent food and service. Friday's lunch was the best fish masala I've ever had. The madras and vindaloo curries are my favourites. Have been through the whole menu and enjoyed it all."
