"This is much more a Coffee and Cake place than a place to eat a meal. While there breakfast menu looked varied, and their drink menu had lots of alcoholic and non-alcoholic, plus hot drinks and cold ones, the lunch menu is very limited. If...you don't like meat, this isn't really the place, tho they do have some sandwiches, one of which was delicious, the Hawaii one. They have a Tages Menu each day, that changes but offers a main dish, coffee and kuchen. The 7 of us went there for lunch, and 6 ordered the Tages menu of Frikadelle, small hamburger patties with sauteed veggies and pan fried potatoes. The coffee that come with is the diner's choice, but the cake that is delivered is a slice of whatever they give you. So each person got a different flavored cake, but no one got to pick. Chocolate, apricot, Johhanis berry, raspberry, cheese cake and pineapple. The cake is based on a type of whip cream with fruit in it on a basic cake base. The cakes taste like birthday cake, a sort of bland taste, thot the fruit was good, according to the diners. My meal was good with toast bread, with ham slices, jam, pineapple slices and cheese melted on top. Overall, more a sweet shop then a restaurant. Comfortable firm seat cushions."

"This bakery dated back to the end of the 14th century! By appointment of the King (a while ago). The locals say that it´s the best bakery in Bamberg, especially for the delicously crispy croissants and I side with them! This place is tiny and there´s a tiny coffeshop inside also. Get a coffee to go and a croissant or a couple - they´ll melt in your mouth...This place it right next to the famous Schlenkerls Brewery in Sandstreet."

"Indian place with colourful decoration and great food. They especially have quite a choice of vegetarian dishes. Some other dishes are vegan or can be veganised. The food is flavorful and delicious, but friends have told me they think the portions are too small. I don't agree to be honest, I have never left there feeling hungry. Still it might be something to keep in mind. The typical dish costs around 9 to 12 € and includes basmati rice. It's close to the train station which means it's not close to the inner city. However in a small town like Bamberg not close is not far either. Best to take a bus from the main bus station to the train station and walk the rest of the way"

"The restaurant has an interesting approach from the concept.Steak from the bark in different variants, which can be supplemented. However, the service and the entire impression remains behind this ambitious goal.The service staff is little attentive, there were some mistakes. We sat long before our empty tellers, no demand whether we would like to have filled our long empty glasses again.Everything in all, the food quality cannot really lift the entire impression. because it is really not a good thing."

"They serve food, yes, but the reason to come here is the fact that the place is superbly atmospheric and full of great beers from close and afar. The service is superbly friendly, joking even poignantly but still benignly and accommodating. The food...is decent, but that's not what you come here for. A great place to spend and hour or two Or a whole night if you're that way inclined"

"Just Ok. Can't say that I will come back here. There is no view, unlike the Speziel Keller, and the menu is small. So if you are a vegetarian, there is one plate of cheese with pieces of bread, and then some bread or...pretzels with pickles. Otherwise, it is meat oriented, and as it is now warm spring/summer, there is more of a Brotzeit, rather than a dinner menu. Lots of different beers, tho I wasn't thrilled with their Radler. My cheese plate was slices of swiss, pieces of Camembert, pieces of rye bread, butter, a pickle, quark, and a herb cheese spread. There was a plate of long bratwursts and sauerkraut, but the sauerkraut wasn't that great. Overall, not a great experience. Service was pleasant, however."
