"Das Restaurant liegt direkt an der "Hauptstrasse". Wir haben uns für einen Salat als Vorspeise entschieden. Der Nüsslersalat kann nur empfohlen werden. In der Herbstzeit haben wir je ein Wildgericht gewählt - vor allem Reh steht auf der Speisekarte aus einheimischer Jagd. Sowohl der Rehpfeffer als auch die Rehschnitzel waren sehr gut und zu unserer Ueberraschung gab es auch Rehrücken als Tellerservice - einfach phantastisch. Das Zwetschgensorbet zum Schluss kann nur empfohlen werden. Dies war wirklich ein Besuch wert, aber Reservation ist empfohlen. Auch die Weinkarte ist vielfältig und preislich im "normalem" Bereich, d.h. man kann sich eine gute Flasche Rotwein leisten."

"Solothurn is the nicest little barock city I know in Switzerland and the Hotel Restaurant Roter Trum in the center is absolutley fabulous. Eating in the tower you get a 3-course meal of highest quality, served by friendly staff - ask any question about how things are prepared and you will get an answer by the chef himself. During summer it is possible to eat outside on the terrace high above the roofs of the old city. The owner himself comes to great the guests and if there would be any complaint at all, the problem is also solved immediately"
