"We arrived to an empty restaurant bar 3 people. Our waiter (the only waiter) was out of his depth from the get go. We ordered a glass of Prosecco and a G&T. 'Sorry Madam but no Prosecco '. We ordered 2 G&T 's which arrived in enormous glasses with the gin sobbing that it was so out of it 's depth having to swim amongst the ice cubes. Two little cans of tonic were opened at the table and poured into the gin to keep it company. Sadly the sliced lemon missed out on the party! Cheers and let 's look at the menu! We ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir. 'A random bottle of white appeared and was sent back. Sorry Sir we don 't have the Pinot Noir... '. We ordered a Merlot instead. It arrived in an ice cooler on a lot of ice. It 's red wine! I loved the look of the Goan Beef for a starter, hubby the Chicken Tikka Masala. 'Sorry madam we sold the beef yesterday '. Ok! I 'll have the scallops! 'Sorry madam.... ' I ended up choosing the squid. Nothing to write home about as my review will bear out. Mains Chicken (sadly the menu isn 't on line so I can 't name the dish but it had one chilli against it signifying the heat of dish) and hubby had Rack of Lamb. Neither tasted of anything let alone chilli or anything pungent, spicy or authentic. At this point we were both so disappointed and feeling forgotten about as the 'only ' waiter chatted to his mate. I 'd like an Irish Coffee says I to hubby (trying to make light of a pretty mundane meal) but... 'Sorry Madam the coffee machine has broken it 's not possible to make Irish coffee ' Bill paid, I wouldn 't go back but I 'll leave that up to you guys. This is only a review after all! And before you ask did we complain? No. Plates were hot, tables, cutlery, glasses and crockery were clean. It was obvious that we were disappointed and somewhat annoyed at our treatment and the lack of our choices but complaining about the standard of food is a whole different thing. Was it cooked as the chefs would have expected to eat the food. I can 't answer that but I doubt it!"

"We use this chip shop regularly and the food is always fresh and cooked perfectly! No matter what we order it's delicious, it's the best chip shop and we have tried all of them locally! Staff are so friendly and service is fab!"

"My father and I went here this morning and had a complete breakfast everyone, good dad is a small part lol, all fabulously cooked, beautiful dame trudy that owns it, a certain must go when their local, so quirky, 5 * food hygiene and it shows why she got that again, very clean, nice welcome, excellent worth, soon again."
