"I was spending the night in my truck next door the the fryers delight so I called in to get some food I was staying there 2 weeks ago and the guy behind the counter was very helpful showed me where the toilets and showers were and also gave me the code for gate so called in on the 14th September different server I ordered 2 pies and a bag of chips £8.90 paid by card said it would be a few mins so I went out for a smoke after returning he said we have no rolls so I said I didn't order one he gave me £3.00 cash back then he started going on about somthing and charged me £5.90 I thought he had cancelled the £8.90 wasn't til I had it come up on Internet banking I realised by that time the shop was shut and had to leave at 5am .... so here's my review food is 5 star but the service was terrible and he was obviously pulling a fast one be VERY CAREFUL IF PAYING WITH CARD"

"I had only been to the swan once before shortly after it opened and I really enjoyed the food so my other half, my mum and I went for my early birthday celebrations. It was uncomfortably hot in the restaurant and we were squished into a corner which didn't help. We all had crab claws to start with which were perfection but we only got 3 each, the portion was really small even for a starter would of liked double that. For main my partner and I had monkfish wrapped in pancetta with thai curry and rice and my mum had lobster. Again, tasted lovely but my partner and I agreed the portion size was small. My mum's was portioned fine, we ended up stealing some of her chips as she doesn't eat a lot haha. The desserts were not great, the white chocolate cheesecake my partner had was not a cheesecake, more like mouse. I got 3 slices of a chocolate brownie, the brownie was nice but where was the rest? We shared the jammie dodger blonde, I was looking forward to that most but it was really dry. There was nothing served with them i.e. cream or ice cream. I'll happily pay for good food but also value for money is important, for example the desserts were £7.50 each. I don't think any of us will be returning."

"Tasteful, fresh, hot and good price. I think the chicken balls are the best I have ever had, they should be on the meal for two instead of practicing toast 100% thanks to happy family will be reused if we havens in the future visit "

"Today me and my wifey decided to have fish and chips with curry sauce and wow was it nice the fish was cook well golden brown and not greasy the chips was just rite not under cooked and added bonus they had onion vinegar. Just...wish it was open all year round. Would I return, Yes I would"

"This gem was a bit hard to find as it is currently covered in scaffolding while the outside is being renovated. The food, ambiance and service were all excellent. A great menu we actually opted for the vegetarian, not that we are vegetarians it just looked so appetizing. They offered to make mine non dairy because of lactose intolerance, and used soya cream very effectively. Highly recommended £25 per person all in for a very nice and filling hors d'oeuvre and a great main course. Highly recomended."
