"Had my first ever experience in five guys yesterday. Was welcomed on entering and promptly asked if I had eaten here before, to which I said no. The menu was explained and the milkshake was recommended... along with cajun fries. I had a double bacon cheeseburger, cajun fries and a banana milkshake with cream. The total cost was £17, which I felt was expensive for what I got. However, I was very happy with the service, I enjoyed a handful of peanuts while I waited for my meal and the food overall was good. The cajun spiced fries were good, the burger was good and the milkshake was excellent. By far the best milkshake I think I have ever had. Would have been 5* if was either a little cheaper or the burger was excellent rather than very good. Thanks, will be back soon...."

"Our first visit here since before the pandemic. Our previous experience had been excellent but this time we were underwhelmed to say the least. Despite the restaurant being a third full the service was slow and mildly disinterested with the waiting staff disappearing for long periods..One of our party had a shell fish allergy and asked for his dish to be served without a prawn butter. Either the chef or waiting staff forgot and while most of our party were served the one with the allergy was kept waiting while some other dish was created for him when the error was discovered. No one was quite sure what he was eventually served but it bore little relation to what he received about ten minutes behind everybody else. Unfortunately he was the one celebrating his birthday. We did order another couple of glasses of wine but they did not arrive till we finished eating. Although oddly the waiting staff acknowledged the problems no kind of compensation was offered. £50 per head for two courses each topped it off. They won't see us again alas."

"Visit to this place was an absolute winner for me in Harlow. I enjoyed my meal and most importantly the service too. Genuine people and lovely food with great atmosphere. The place is air conditioned so a bonus during these hot evenings. I look forward to taking my extended family and friends there soon again. Thank you."
