"Tonight I took my friend out for her birthday. We had both never been here, and she had heard from a couple people at her work that this was a good place. So we went. The Italian in the name is a very loose term to what is served inside. If you are looking for truly authentic Italian food, I would steer clear of this restaurant. How they have been award winning for over 30 years astounds me. Here are my gripes... The attempt at old world charm comes up a little short. You can 't think that throwing down some plastic red and white checkered table coverings makes you an Italian restaurant. They offer a lot of items on their menu that are not traditional Italian fare. For the appetizers: Spanakopita, fyi, is Greek, and Maryland style crab cakes, really??? Super random item!!! For the salads: Mandarin walnut salad??? That to me says more Asian inspired than Italian. Soups: Only a minestrone or if you chose door #2, whatever the chef decided to throw together that day. I shudder to think of the possibilities. The Naples Specialties: You chose what you want, and then you have your choice of sides, like spaghetti with marinara, fettuccini Alfredo, today 's vegetable today 's was button mushrooms, fyi, a fungi, not a vegetable , baked potato, risotto or broccoli. Makes me think more like I am at Applebee 's. The choice of sides makes no sense, no matter how you try to rationalize it. For our special dinner tonight I ordered the chicken picatta and my side dish of choice was the risotto. To me, Chicken picatta should be a beautiful chicken breast butterflied and breaded lightly, sautéed in butter and white wine and lemon with capers until you achieve this delicate sauce that bursts with fresh, slightly tangy flavor, and served over angel hair pasta, and its magical and wistful and makes me think of summer!!! That is not what I was served. What was put down in front of me made me feel sad and dejected. On my plate was a slab of lightly breaded chicken swimming in a soup of orange colored liquid, lacking in delicate flavor and no pasta. The capers tasted a little off too. And for that it cost $20.99. I was glad however that I had ordered the risotto to help sop up a little of the sauce. My friend on the other hand ordered the Scallops Pignole, which is Pan seared scallops served over today 's fresh pasta in lemon garlic butter with fresh spinach and pine nuts. Her plate looked a little more like what I would have expected. She said it was ok, but did not leave her feeling dazzled. for that we paid $22.99 Now for dessert... Looking at the dessert menu looked like they had a good selection to choose from. My issue is with the crème bruleè, which by the way is a French vanilla bean custard; says to ask your server about the days fresh creation, which today happened to be key lime crème bruleè. I opted for the tiramisu which was a little dry, and she the spumoni ice cream. Their after dinner coffee drinks were more Irish inspired than Italian, they did not offer cappuccino, and so had to settle for a terrible cup of drip coffee. They didn 't even have a Frangelico!! My overall review of this establishment is this... this place is way to over priced for the quality of food you receive. The service was slightly lacking. I think we saw the water boy, who was on point tonight!!! more than we saw our waitress. Perhaps changing your hours so that you don 't only have a 4 1/2 hour dinner window."

"I had a Dr. Appointment up the road and the Wife must have developed a sweet tooth while in the waiting room. Noticed Duck Donuts on the way to the Dr. so what better time to try something new. We were greeted at the door by a very nice lady who asked if it was our first visit and gave a quick explanation of how the Duck Donut system works. At Duck Donuts you start with a fresh and hot "Bare" donut, then you "Coat it," and finally you "Drizzle it" with their variety of toppings and drizzles. We ordered three for a good sampling of their offers: The first donut was a Cinnamon Surgar with a Vanilla Drizzle; The second donut was a Peanut Butter with Hot fudge Drizzle; and The third was a Maple with Chopped Bacon and a Salted Caramel Drizzle. You can't go wrong with a hot donut and these were no exception. A bite of hot, soft, light, sweet, and in two samples salty Heaven. It must be hard to compete with the bigger more well known donut place across the street but as long as Duck Donuts offers the friendly service and product quality that I got today they'll do just fine. I recommend that you give them a try."

"Service was not good. Fritter appetizer came out ice cold. Waiter forgot to bring our drinks, which he didn’t seem interested in taking an order for. Food was “ok”. Overall a disappointment."
