"It was years since I had eaten here. the lookout is beautiful, good French pommes. but what I didn't appreciate was rough commercialism. this restaurant was always known for its special clam recipe, so that the people came for cuddling. now the famous cuddles were moved to the starter (entrée) part of the menu. so that after a taste of mushing they can comfortably move to a piece of fish instead of enjoying the significantly lower mushles. it is equivalent to chick fil a or kfc only chickenuggets as beside dishes. back where I grew up, we called the customer. what a shame to go on such a foolish trick. you feel like you're on the middle sea coast."

"We have just finished our second dinner in this wonderful restaurant in the village of Claouey on Cap Ferret. We had not made a reservation on our first night but were welcomed graciously. The decor is chic but relaxed. There is a nice touch in...having fresh roses on every table. The food is simply delicious. We had the set menu which cost euros. Starters included beautiful foie gras with chutney and a fresh salad, while main courses included lamb with gratin dauphinois exquisite. Desserts were equally delicious tarte tatin, strawberry Melba and chocolate gateau. The staff were charming and did their best to help out with English translations. We are moving on now but, if we had been staying in Claouey, we would probably have visited this restaurant again!"
